Knowledge Is Truth  Truth Is Knowledge

Noesis is your source for knowledge related to a variety of subjects.  Currently the site contains comprehensive information related to Schizophrenia and a section devoted to facts designed to stimulate thought and reflection (Consider This).

(In the future the site will be expanded to cover information about depression, influenza and tuberculosis.)

In Greek philosophy “Noesis” refers to the exercise of reason.  In psychology, it means cognition or the functioning of intellect.

As the name implies, NOESIS strives to expand knowledge, develop reason and other aspects of cognition and stimulate the intellect.

Some of the knowledge provided will simply be what we would refer to as common sense, a commodity which seems to be in short supply in today’s world.  Other knowledge will be more detailed and complex.
